The associative cluster (or network diagram) is another great tool for retrieving information from our collection. In this post, I'll explain how to create it:
Creating a Network Diagram
1- Write the central theme, idea, or concept in an ellipse.
2- Through brainstorming, identify the concepts for the first level of breakdown.
3- Write the identified concepts in ellipses around the central concept.
4- Break down each concept from the first level of breakdown.
5- Repeat the procedure until the breakdown is acceptable.
6- Check for consistency and accuracy.
